ICHS 150th Anniversary Celebrations – 2008

Six months to go! We are getting there, the fever is heightening and the work continues.

Our events calendar is a work in progress and at this stage we have a calendar which is shaping up to become an impressive, fun-filled and exciting year. A year that will raise the profile of the school and the work being done by all the interested groups in the Immaculate family. The ‘almost’ finalized calendar is below and has something for everyone to participate in and enjoy!

The sponsorship drive is the focus for the month of July in addition to finalizing the planning and organization of the events for January – March 2008. We are also assisting the school and the various groups who will be involved in the celebration, to upgrade and acquire new equipment for their performances. One Alumnae Chapter has been approached about a specific and immediate need of the Orchestra and we anticipate their positive response.

Now that school is on holiday, the preparations are in gear for the mounting of 150^th advertising in the Constant Spring area as well as on the school campus. The official launch of the 150^th Celebration will take place in September 2007 and the advertising campaign will begin in earnest thereafter.

The ICHS Alumnae website (kindly donated by the Florida Chapter) has a 150^th Anniversary page – please visit the site for updates and photos on the various activities thus far.

The Alumnae office will become the Secretariat for the Planning Committee and will be functional in July 2007, with telephone and fax available. We’ll pass on the respective numbers as soon as they are received. Thanks to Mrs. Meanny for organizing and implementing this idea.

The Planning Committee will meet again on July 08, 2007 at 2:30 p.m. in the St. Francis Hall of the Convent.
