150TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS – JUNE 2008 Our celebrations continue and the momentum keeps on going! The 150th Anniversary Capital Campaign was boosted on Monday, May 26, 2008 at the ICHS Assembly when Island Grill CEO (and Alumna) Thalia Lyn presented the proceeds from the ICPHS Day at Island Grill – J$550,000. These funds will go towards the construction of one classroom – Island Grill classroom - on the new classroom block for Grades 12/13. We thank Thalia for this generous contribution and look forward to receiving her usual support throughout 2008. Souvenirs are still available and may be purchased from the 150th Anniversary Headquarters as well as from the New York, Florida and Toronto Chapters. Visit www.ichsalumnae.net for more information. May’s 150th Anniversary Golf Tournament was postponed until Sunday, June 22, 2008 due to the unstable weather which covered the island on the weekend. We look forward to seeing all the phenomenal families at the event in June, where the parents and juniors can golf all day and the younger ones can enjoy a Fun Day. The proceeds from this event will go toward the development of the ICHS Sports Department. June is the month in which we honour those who made an invaluable contribution to Immaculate Schools. On June 14, 2008, the 150th Anniversary Awards Evening will be held in the Performing Arts Centre at ICHS. We look forward to seeing our honourees and their guests. Homecoming is fast approaching……Mass (9:00 a.m.)/Graduation (6:00 p.m.) on July 6, 2008 and don’t miss the 150th Anniversary / Class of 2008 Congratulatory Supplement in The Sunday Gleaner on that day;…….Monday, July 7, 2008 150th Anniversary & Reunion Luncheon at the Terra Nova Hotel (12:30 p.m.) and the 150th Anniversary Supplement in the Observer. Tickets for the Luncheon are available from the 150th Anniversary HQs at a cost of J$2000.00 or US$30.00;……Open Day and lots of fun on the tennis courts – Wednesday, July 09, 2008;……then the premier event of the week – the 150th Anniversary & Reunion Ball – at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel on Friday, July 11, 2008 beginning at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from the 150th Anniversary HQs and your contribution is J$5500.00 or US$80.00; ……..Homecoming ends on Saturday, July 12, 2008 with a Fun Day for the children.
